Riverina Boarding Kennels and Cattery

By confirming your booking with us, clients acknowledge and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

All vaccinations must be sighted immediately after booking by forwarding to admin@riverinaboardingkennels.com. Your booking will not be confirmed until the vaccinations are sent.  If you are not able to do this please contact your Veterinary Practice to email us directly.

Dogs must have a current C5 vaccination (if your pet is out of date they must receive an INTRANASAL OR ORAL VACCINE at least 2 weeks prior to booking). It is not ok to leave a month or 2 in between vaccinations, they must be kept current.

Cat Vaccination Requirements: It is mandatory for all cats boarding at our kennel to have received F3 vaccinations.  Proof of up-to-date F3 vaccination must be provided prior to or upon check-in. The certificate should clearly state the date of vaccination, the type of vaccine administered (F3), and the expiration date of the vaccine’s efficacy. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that the vaccination records are accurate and up to date.

Revaccination: If the F3 vaccination is due to expire during the boarding period, it is the owner’s responsibility to arrange for revaccination prior to check-in. We strongly recommend scheduling the revaccination at least two weeks before the boarding reservation to allow sufficient time for the vaccine to take effect and provide optimal protection. If an owner fails to have their cat vaccinated by the due date there may be a quarantine period before the cat can board. Owners should contact reception if your cat falls into this category.

PAYMENT

As noted on your Booking Confirmation, all fees are per day regardless of check-in and check-out times and are to be paid in FULL PROIR TO BEING ADMITTED by either;

  • Contactless Eftpos on the day with a fee automatically applied from SmartPay (if you have a balance over $500.00 you may prefer to do an internet transfer or pay cash). We cannot accept credit card payments over the phone at this stage.

  • Cash on the day, or

  • Internet banking transfer:  Riverina Boarding Kennels – BSB: 062500… ACC: 10604897.

Business hours: Monday to Saturday we admit and discharge either 8:00-9:00am or 4:00-5:00pm and Sundays 4:00-5:00pm only.  We are closed to the public on Public holidays and after 11:00am on the 23rd December 2023 up to and including 1 January. We will reopen Monday 2 January 2024 between 8:00-11:00am for departures and 2:00pm-5:00pm for new admissions.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our furry guests, we regret to inform you that our kennel is not open for personal tours. This policy is in place to maintain strict infection control measures and prevent the spread of any potential illnesses or diseases among our guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Our right to refuse entry 

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to any pet that displays symptoms of severe diarrhea or coughing. This is necessary to maintain infection control and ensure the health and safety of all pets in our care. In the event that signs of illness are discovered within 24 hours of check-in, we may contact the pet owner to arrange for the pet to be collected. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy environment for all pets in our kennel.

Vet Care

  • In the event that your regular veterinarian is unavailable, delayed, or unreachable, or if you do not have a specific veterinarian, we may take your pet to Petfocus Vetcare or seek their advice. Any associated costs incurred for your pet’s care will be paid upon discharge to Riverina Boarding Kennels or upon your return/receipt of an invoice. We will make every effort to ensure that your pet receives appropriate medical attention in a timely manner, and we will keep you informed of any treatment or medication provided. Please let us know if your pet has any pre-existing medical conditions or special needs that we should be aware of.

Pet behavior and condition 

  • Female dogs that are in heat while staying with us will be charged a cleaning fee of $5 per day to cover the additional cleaning required to maintain a hygienic environment for all pets. 

  • Male dogs that have not been neutered and excessively mark their territory by urinating on everything will be charged a cleaning fee of $5 per day.

  • If your pet exhibits unruly behavior that detracts from our staff’s ability to perform their normal tasks, a disruption fee starting from $5 per day may be charged.

Pet health and hygiene

  • If your pet is found to have fleas, worms, or any other health issues that require attention during their stay with us, we will provide appropriate treatment and care. Any associated costs will be paid upon collection of your pet.

  • Please note that if your pet is dirty or underweight upon arrival, we will attend to their needs as necessary to ensure their health and wellbeing while in our care. Any associated costs will be paid upon collection of your pet.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all pets staying at our boarding kennel.

Doggie Daycare

We strive to provide the best possible care for all of our furry guests, which sometimes requires us to make adjustments to our daycare services during peak periods, such as school holidays. During these times, it may be necessary for us to temporarily suspend our daycare services to make room for our long-term boarders.

We understand that this may be inconvenient for some of our clients, but we believe it is important to prioritize the comfort and safety of all of our guests. If we do need to temporarily suspend daycare services, we will do our best to provide ample notice and assist you in finding alternative arrangements for your pet.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter, and we will always work hard to provide the best possible care for your furry friend.

Booking during peak periods

For all stays, including peak periods such as NSW School Holidays and Public Holidays, full payment for the dates booked is required. This payment is required regardless of whether you collect your pet early or not.

Stays during peak periods, such as NSW School Holidays and Long Weekends, including Public Holidays, will attract a surcharge of $3.00 per day, per pet.

Cancellation Policy

For bookings during December/January, public holidays, Easter, and all state school holidays:

  • If you cancel your booking more than 28 days before your admission date, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid.

  • If you cancel your booking between 14 and 28 days before your admission date, you will receive an 80% refund of monies paid.

  • If you cancel your booking between 7 and 14 days before your admission date, you will receive a 50% refund of monies paid.

  • If you cancel your booking within 3 days of your admission date or are a no-show, you will forfeit all monies paid.

  • If your pet’s vaccinations are not up-to-date at the time of admission, you will forfeit all monies paid.

  • If you collect your pet earlier than the booking date, you will forfeit all monies paid. If we are able to replace your booking, you may receive a partial credit at the sole discretion of Riverina Boarding Kennels Management.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking whenever possible. However, please note that cancellations and changes may have an impact on our ability to provide quality care for all pets in our kennel, especially during peak periods. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy.

All other Boarding Periods:

  • If you cancel your booking more than 14 days before your admission date, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid.

  • If you cancel your booking between 9 and 14 days before your admission date, you will receive an 80% refund of monies paid.

  • If you cancel your booking between 5 and 9 days before your admission date, you will receive a 50% refund of monies paid.

EASTER: This is a minimum 6 day booking, Thursday to Tuesday. A $150.00 deposit is payable within one week of receipt of booking request. Final payment must be made no later than 1 April.

CHRISTMAS: This is a minimum 11 day booking, 23 December to 2 January. A $150.00 deposit is payable within one week of receipt of booking request. Final payment must be made no later than 11 December.
